An exclusive insight into the world of floriculture in the Netherlands

Van VLIET Flower Group recently had the opportunity to showcase the floriculture industry in the Netherlands on the popular Finnish TV program, Half Past Six. With over 500,000 viewers, it was an excellent opportunity to introduce the Finnish audience to the flowers and plants industry.

The Van VLIET team organized the interviews for the show, starting with a visit to Levoplant BV, a well-known grower of the Phalaenopsis orchids. Ron Fransen, Commercial Director, shared valuable insights on the cultivation of orchids, providing an educational and engaging segment for the Finnish viewers.

The following day, the team headed to the Royal Flora Holland in Aalsmeer, where they met Michel van Schie. He led the team on a tour of the impressive Aalsmeer auction, providing a glimpse into the workarounds in the building. The team was left in awe of the big scale of the operation.

The team then visited the Van VLIET Flower Group office in Aalsmeer, where they conducted the final interview for the show. Showcasing the operations and daily activities of the company. It was a great opportunity for Van VLIET to showcase our expertise and facilities to a large audience and our contributions to the floriculture industry.

Overall, the experience was a valuable one for both the Finnish journalist and the Van VLIET Flower Group. For those interested in watching the Half Past Six TV program, it will be published on Saturday 6 May at yle.fi. Insert will be on tv on Monday 8 May.

We hope that the show will inspire and educate our Finnish viewers about the flower industry.
