On the 5th of March 2006 J. van VLIET Edinburgh Ltd was born.
Most staff previously worked for the well known wholesaler RTW & Co.
In November 2008 we acquired the wholesale part of Henry Doy’s Scottish Market Ltd, transformed it into Flowers International Ltd. and integrated it into J. van VLIET Edinburgh Ltd in November 2009. This resulted in more choice, more stock, fresher flowers and therefore an ever increasing business. Access to our cash & carry is easy as we are closely located to Edinburgh City Center, the A720 City Bypass and M8 towards Glasgow.
Don’t depend on the Flying Dutchman, we have local staff, local knowledge and are here for you 7 days per week!
Our fresh arrivals of flowers and plants from Holland are as follows:
- Monday auction arrives Tuesday afternoon for Wednesday’s trading
- Tuesday auction arrives Wednesday night for Thursday’s trading
- Wednesday auction arrives approx Thursday at approx 11:00
- Friday auction arrives Saturday night for Sunday’s trading
Our delivery days to our customers are:
- Edinburgh: Monday till Friday
- Borders: Monday & Thursday
- East Lothian: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
